WTF Happened: #WakingTheFeminists and the movement that changed Irish theatre was published by UCD Press in October 2025. It was launched in the National Library of Ireland where the digital archive of #WakingTheFeminists is kept.

Written with fellow campaigner Sarah Durcan, the book gives the inside story of the unexpected and extremely impactful year-long grassroots campaign. It gives an overview of what happened and outlines the campaign’s impacts. It also includes all the rousing, passionate, and insightful short speeches given by all the speakers at campaign’s three major public events, and is also packed with lovely full colour photos.

While the campaign itself was just a year long, my work afterwards continued, from being a volunteer independent member of the Gender Equality Policy Working Group alongside ten major theatre organisations, to finding a home for the archives of the campaign in both the National Library and the National Museum, to planning this book, finding a publisher, and writing it with Sarah. The publication brought to a close a decade of work, of which I am very proud.
