Adapted by Annie Ryan of The Corn Exchange from the highly-acclaimed novel by Eimear McBride, A Girl Is A Half-formed Thing was premiered as part of Dublin Theatre Festival 2014.

A Girl was performed by Aoife Duffin, and was a huge success with audience and critics alike, winning a Fringe First and the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award at Edinburgh Festival Fringe. All design aspects, set lighting and sound, were pared back to a minimum to allow for the intensity and intricacy of the text and Aoife’s extraordinary performance.
